Mrs. Ormond was born in Worcester, MA on October 3, 1933, a daughter of the late James and Mary (O'Brien) Casey.
Mrs. Ormond was a resident of Chester since 1988, formerly living in Derry, NH. She was a graduate of Classical High School in Worcester, MA and then graduated from Worcester State College with a BS in secondary education and math. Joan was a caring person and donated to many organizations. She was also an avid reader.
Mrs. Ormond is survived by four sons, Stephen Ormond of Allenstown, NH, Robert Ormond of Derry, Paul Ormond and his wife Cindy of Hudson, NH, James Ormond and his wife Anne of Dover, NH, one daughter, Mary Ellen Ormond and her partner Cheryl Lampert of Chester, nine grandchildren, one brother, James Casey of Westminster, MA, one sister, Patricia Casey of Gardner, MA., several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert C. Ormond Jr. who died in 1991 and her daughter Ellen Marie Ormond.
