Audie P. Burton, 76, Rt. 1, Nancy, died Friday, October 14, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington following a two-month illness.

She was the oldest member of the Delmer Church of the Nazarene.

Bron Dec. 6, 1906, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of Lloyd Thomas Brock and Louella Muse Brock.

She was married July 20, 1923, to Dennis Burton, who survives.

She was the mother of eight children, Dexter Burton, Ferguson, Harrison and John T. Burton, both of Somerset, Gary Burton, Nancy, Leonard Burton, who was killed in action in Korea, Ollie McGlothin, Ferguson, Louella Davenport, Cincinnati, and Zella Sumpter, Naomi.

Other survivors include two sisters, Florence Daulton, Nancy and Edith Baker, Cincinnati; five half-brothers, Emery Brock, Faubush, Boyd, Howard, Herman, and Lindsey Brock, all of Indiana; two half-sisters, Virginia Campbell and Evelyn Burton, both of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, two sisters, four half-brothers, and two half-sisters preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Delmer Church of the Nazarene with the Reverends Bobby Grant, Ronald Wesley, and Edgar Ray officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Morris and Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill, is in charge of arrangements.
