Obituary
Thomas A. Spence, retired Finney county farmer, died early this morning at St. Catherine hospital following a short illness. Mr. Spence, who had lived in Garden City for about three years, was 79. For many years he farmed in the Plymell community. He was born in Illinois in 1879. He was a member of the Methodist church and Farm Bureau. Surviving are his widow, Lida, of the home; two sons, James of Baker, Ore., and Leonard of Dodge City; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Garnand Funeral home is in charge.
