Rose Mary Kling Fontenot passed away on September 29, 2012 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sorrento, LA and was a long time resident of St. Bernard Parish. Beloved wife of the late Florien J. Fontenot, daughter of Leontine Lavigne Kling Duplessis and the late Harry J. Kling, Sr. Stepdaughter of the late Sabas O. Duplessis, Sr. Loving mother of Judy F. Spizale (Paul), Allen Fontenot (Janis), Linda Fontenot and Brent Fontenot (Heather). Proud grandmother of Paul Spizale, Jr., Katie S. Giardina, Callie F. Lips, Larry, Clayton, Taylor and Cody Fontenot. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren, 8 sisters, 5 brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 sister and 1 brother.
Rose was a homemaker and an avid bowler in numerous leagues in St. Bernard Parish. Special thanks to Mary Ann Emerson for the loving care she provided during Rose's last years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
