Genevieve C. Burdon, who taught school before her marriage 60 years ago, died Monday in a local hospital. She was 82.

A Century Club member, Mrs. Burdon was born Nov. 24, 1891, in Portland.

Survivors include her husband Leo; daughter, Mrs. John Preston, Newport Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Valley Community Presbyterian Church, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.
