Harold L. “Pete“ Adams, Jr., 62, died Friday, January 31, 2003, at his residence. He was the husband of Georgia J. (Smith) Adams to whom he was married to for 15 years.
Mr. Adams was born in York on November 7, 1940. He was the son of the late Harold L. and Mary Catherine (Smith) Adams, Sr. He was formerly employed with D.W. Hassler, Inc., attended Grace Lutheran Church, was a member of the Victory AA, and the Raiders Club of York.
Mr. Adams is survived by three sons, Daniel and Eric Adams of York, and David Smith of West York; two daughters, Deborah Graham and Donna Chaney of York; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Warren and Wayne Adams of York, Norman Adams of York New Salem, and Gary Adams of Wrightsville; two sisters, Sheridan Duttera of Thomasville and Helena Hilbert of Dover; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elisa Smith. There will be no viewing.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, 150 Jefferson Ave., York. A visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. Deborah L. Volker. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to VNA, 218 E.
