Funeral service for Mrs. Helen Louise Aston, 71, of Alexander City, will be Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Aston passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Russell Medical Center. She was born on March 19, 1941 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Hoyton Alexander Jones and Carrie Helen Brown Jones. Mrs. Helen loved taking care of others. Her family was always a big part of her life. She loved being outside, gardening, canning and trips to Walmart.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Jones (Heidi) and Randy Jones (Shirley), all of Alexander City; grandchildren, Carrie Spivey (Chris), Ross Jones, David Jones (Wonkyoung) and Tammy Biggar (Ron); and great-grandchildren, Lance Jones and Zack Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Chester Aston, Jr.
