Margaret Bennett Ackerman was a homemaker until the death of her husband in 1946. With a young son to support, Margaret returned to teaching in Cle Elum. After her son graduated from college she moved to Kirkland, King County, Washington and taught at the Kirkland Junior High until her retirement in 1970.
