QUINCY — John W. Booher, 68, a retired farmer, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at University hospital in Ann Arbor, where he had been a patient for four days.
He was born July 7, 1881, in Albany, Ky., a son of Jesse and Julia (Thrasher) Booher, and had moved to Quincy in 1947 after retiring from farming in Algansee township. He was a member of the Coldwater Moose lodge.
He is survived by the wife, Beatrice; five daughters, Mrs. Jessie Melton of Jonesville, Mrs. Julia Roebuck and Mrs. Ruby McIntosh of Detroit. Mrs. Inelain Gibson of Albany, Ky., and Mrs. Juanita Mason of Quincy; three sons, John L. of Oklahoma and Kenneth and Byron of Quincy: a sister, Mrs. Liza Cross of Albany, Ky.; a brother, Richard, also of Albany; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Diedrich funeral home with the Rev. Hardy-Aseltine officiating and burial in Lakeview Cemetery.
