In 1898 Henderson's directory listed Northey L H as a vice-president for Yankee Boy Mining and Milling Ld [sic]. Could not locate death certificate as of May 2016.

The Winfield, Kansas, City Directory, 1906 listed "Northey Mary C wid Louis H clk A F Dauber & Co r 917 e 7th."

From the Rossland Evening Record of May 17, 1898 (P1C6):
Charles Lockhart, undertaker, received a telegram from Mrs. Northey, wife of L. H. Northey who died here last Saturday, stating that he could be buried at Rossland.

From the Rossland Evening Record of May 19, 1898 (P1C4):
Laid to Rest.
Col. L. H. Northey, who died in Rossland last Sabbath, was buried this morning at 10 o'clock in Sunnyside cemetery. The pallbearers were: J. Fyfe, Judge Gordon, W. J. Whiteside, J. L. Whitney, M. Morris, and W. H. Laury. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Stevens of the Presbyterian church.

L H Northey, formerly in the real estate business here with W J Kennedy, died May 15, at Rosland [sic], B C, of heart disease. His wife, with her daughter, Miss Maude [sic], is here the guest of her sister, Mrs Amos Snowhill, and parents, Mr and Mrs Tom Wilson, and it was impossible for her to get there in time to attend the funeral.--
Several years ago Mr Northey was Santa Fe agent in this city.
