Obituary:
MANCHESTER - Lena M. Lovering, 102, formerly of Manchester, died Sept. 28, 2012, at Wachusett Manor in Gardner, Mass., after a long illness.
She was born in Amherst on May 25, 1910, to Alphonse and Amanda (Lambert) Labonte and had resided in Manchester for most of her life.
She was educated in local schools and worked over 30 years as a senior accountant for Ferretti's Markets.
She was devoted to her mother, Amanda, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved playing cards, doing puzzles and was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Family members include her son, Richard Lemay of Leominster, Mass.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Adrien Lemay, in 1941; and her second husband, Walter H. Lovering, in 1956.
Services:Visiting hours will be at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place in St. Joseph Cathedral, corner of Pine and Lowell streets on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester.
