Monday afternoon, October 12, 1959, funeral services were conducted at the First Presbyterian Church in Parker of Andrew S. Bogue.
Andrew Bogue, attorney and former lawmaker, died at the Canton-Inwood Hospital, Oct. 10, 1959.
He was born at Poynette, WI, Apr. 9, 1877 to Alan and Ellen (Stevenson) Bogue. After finishing Poynette High School and spending two years at the local academy, he attended the University of Madison, WI and then the law school from where he graduated in 1906.
Andrew came to Centerville, Oct. 1, 1906 and was admitted to the Bar in 1907.
He was married Jun. 30, 1910 to Genevieve Cooke of Parker.
Mr. Bogue served as state senator for 2 terms and as Turner County state's attorney for 15 years. He was active in Masonic circles at Parker and Centerville, and was a member of the Consistory of Yankton and the El Riad Shrine of Sioux Falls.
Survivors include the widow, a son, Andrew W. of Canton; two daughters, Mrs. M. J. Williams, Hawarden, IA and Mrs. J. J. Bush of Greybull, WY; a brother, David, of Portage, WI, and a sister, Mrs. J. J. McDonald of Madison, WI.
