Services for Roger Dale Bryant Sr., 59, Mabank, were held Aug. 24, 2009, at the Lakeview Assembly of God Church in Seven Points with the Rev. Don Bell officiating. Burial was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
Bryant was born July 12, 1950, in Dallas to Helen Lodine Cook and Robert Calloway Bryant and died Aug. 18, 2009, in Gun Barrel City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ann Bryant, his parents, sister Alice Drake and brother Robert Wheeler Bryant.
He was a Christian man, mentor, teacher and a loving father and grandfather. He loved going to church and telling stories.
He also enjoyed flying from the pilot seat.
Survivors include his son Roger Dale Bryant Jr., Mabank; daughter and son-in-law Cari Nicole and David Meiners, Canton; grandchildren Morgan Bryant, Jacob Meiners, Makensey Bryant, Joshua Meiners and Loren Bryant; and brother W.T. Bryant, Payne Springs.
