Services will be at 3 pm Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home for Max B Amos, 51, of 4010 Second Ave., who died of a heart ailment at home Monday after a six-week illness. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Born at Mason City, Mr. Amos had lived in Des Moines 15 years, moving here from Ames. He was a switchboard installer for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. He was a graduate of Mason City High School and Junior College, a member of Highland Park American Legion Poast CWA Local No 7102, Central Lutheran Church and a manager in the Highland Park Little League. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Craig M of Des Moines, and PFC Robert E of Fort Lewis, Wash.; a daughter, Ann Marie, at home, and his stepfather, E.H. Johnson of Des Moines. The family suggests memorials to Central Lutheran Church.
