STILLMORE - Frank Davis, Jr., 59, died Wednesday at Candler County Hospital in Metter after an illness.
The Bulloch County native lived in Savannah before moving to Stillmore two years ago. He was retired from Union Camp Corp. and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Savannah, Acacia Lodge and Alee Temple, where he was a member of the Alee Patrol. He was treasure of Union Local 435 and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Smith Davis of Stillmore, two sisters; Mrs. Linie D. Coleman of Ellabell and Mrs. Louis Doningan of Savannah; two brothers, Raymond W. Davis of Savannah and Charles H. Davis of Monticello; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 2 p.m. today at Hooks Mortuary of Metter, burial in Sim Warren Cemetery.
