Joseph M. Hollifield, 78, of Rossville, died Monday, April 15, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Hollifieild was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and Rossville. He had retired from the Teamsters Union Local 515.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Crossen Hollifield.
Survivors include his sons, Lee Hollifield of Rossville, and Danny Hollifield of Ringgold; daughters, Nancy Perry of Jasper, TN, and Harvene Pewitt of Chickamauga; brother, Jim Hollifield of Ft. Oglethorpe; sister, Naomi Crossen of Chattanooga and Adeline Rollins of Toledo, OH; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nieces, half brothers, and half sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the South Crest Chapel with burial to follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the South Crestp Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
