Mr. James "Red" Henry Beeson, 74, resident of Hickory Chapel Rd. died Wednesday in the Greensboro Retirement Facility.

Mr. Beeson was born Feb. 7, l938 in Guilford County a son of Henry and Bertha York Beeson. He had been a resident of High Point all of his life and was retired owner and operator of Beeson Tree and Lawnmower Service. Mr. Beeson was a member of Springfield Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. He had a love for people and often you would find him visiting the "shut-ins" On Dec. l9, l958 he was married to Patricia Gayle Sellers who survives of the home.

Also surviving are 1 daughter; Rhonda Gayle Beeson Wilson of California and 1 son ; James Michael Beeson of High Point; 3 Sisters; Mrs. Betty Threadgill and husband Billy Ray of Robbins, Mrs. Sylvia Hall and husband Wayne of High Point and Mrs. Shirley Jones of Archdale; 3 Brothers; Bobby Ray Beeson and wife Dale of Jamestown, Roger Beeson and wife Cathy of High Point and Junior Beeson of Winston Salem; 3 Grandchildren; Sarah Elizabeth Beeson, Charles Michael Beeson and Chay McHenry Beeson; 1 Great Grandchild; Braxton Shane Gray.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00a.m. in the Springfield Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby L. Loving. Interment will follow in the Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8p.m. at the Cumby Family Funeral Service on Eastchester Dr.
