18-year Old Killed in Accident

David Leroy Bailey, 18, son of Herman Bailey and the late Grace Bailey, died in Kingman Memorial Hospital early Saturday morning, Aug. 10, from injuries received a few hours earlier in a one-car accident Saturday.

The accident occurred 3 miles south of Kingman on K-14.

He would have been a senior in Kingman Rural High School this coming term.

David Bailey was born in Kingman May 19, 1945 and lived his entire life here.

Funeral services were held in the Livingston Chapel Wednesday Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. Rev. George Robey officiated and burial was in the Cleveland Cemetery.

Survivors include his father and step-mother of Kingman; 2 sisters, Alice Marie of the home and Dixie Karen of Wichita; 2 brothers, Delbert, Norfolk, Va., and Albert of Hawaii and his grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Beurskens of Kingman.
