Warren A. Rosparka, 63, of Fairhaven, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after a long illness.
He was the husband of 36 years, of Sandra (Alphonse) Rosparka.

Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Warren Y. and Laura (Olsen) Rosparka, he lived most of his life in Fairhaven.

Warren graduated from New Bedford High School in 1968 and served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed at Camp Holloway Pleiku South Vietnam.
He later worked as a Corrections Officer for 29 years at MCI Cedar Junction until his retirement three years ago.

Warren was a life member of the VFW Poirier Post in New Bedford and played Pitch at Paul's Sports Corner in Fairhaven. He loved the ocean, going to the beach and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kelly E. Ventura and her husband Victor of Fairhaven; two sons, Warren A. Rosparka, Jr. and Patrick R. Rosparka both of Fairhaven; three brothers, Alan of Fairhaven, Barry and his fiancee Donna Majndle and David and his wife Margaret all of New Bedford; two sisters, Sandra DeCosta and her husband Eddie of New Bedford and Laura Rosparka Talkington of Reno, NV; four grandchildren, Aaron and Christian Rosparka and Domonic and Zoey Ventura; a step grandson, Desmond Ventura and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven.
His funeral will be Friday, July 6, 2012 from the funeral home at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven.
Interment with honors will be in River-Side Cemetery, Fairhaven.
