Lewis M. Barttrum, 57, 3616 1/2 Hartford Ave., died Thursday in Ball Hospital.
He was born in Illinois, spent his early years in that area and came to Muncie in 1958.
Mr. Barttrum was employed as a coremaker at Muncie Malleable, now Dayton-Walther Corp., until retiring because of illness. He was a member of People's Sympathy Club and Steelworkers Union. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Lash Barttrum; four daughters; and four sons;
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Meeks Mortuary, with Rev. Wally Gilbert, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory. Calling hours are 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today and anytime before services Saturday.
