He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a US Navy veteran.
Mr. Ferguson is survived by two sons, James Ferguson, Jr. (Pat) and Neil Ferguson (Mary); two daughters, Debbie Mudd and Joyce Gootee; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be 1pm on Monday, October 10th, at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood. His visitation will be on Sunday from 3pm until 8pm.
