Charles Bitner, 51, 262 S. 2nd St. died yesterday afternoon at Harrisburg Hospital after a lengthily illness.

Born Dec. 15, 1898 in Antrim Twp., he was a son of the late David and Louise (Hoke) Bitner. He was in membership of Evangelical and Reformed Church and was employed as a foreman for Hershey Creamery Co.
Mr. Bitner is survived by wife, Mary (miller) Bitner, 2 sons; Harold M. of Honolulu, and Warren H of Hagerstown, 2 sisters; Mrs. Harry Stouffer of Greencastle, R.R. 1, Mrs. Howard Gluck, of Marion, 1 brother; Harry of Greencastle R.R.1, 2 grandchildren also.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday afternoon at the Barbour Funeral Home with Rev. R.S. Vandervere of Womelsdorf and Rev Ernest M. Hawk officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln cemetery.
