Glenda R. Casey passed away peacefully at Borgess Hospital after a long illness. Glenda was born on August 28, 1947 in Bakersfield, CA the daughter of Rhoda Mary Hearn. She worked at Community Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA, when she met Robert 'Mike' Casey in 1983. They moved to Portage, MI in 1985. They were married from 1992 until his passing on September 6th, 2012. She worked for Apria Health Care in Kalamazoo for many years, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed reading, camping and spending time with her husband and their family. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Michael Casey of Portage, MI; brothers George Allen Redmon and Richard Curtis Redmon, as well as her beloved cat of 17 years, Kiki, and Kiki's best friend of 12 years, their dog Boney. She is survived by her sister Mary (Redmon) Casillas of Texas; brother Roy (Theresa) George of Nevada; and her sons, Bryon Keith Redmon of California, Jim (Catherine) Casey of Vermont, Eric Casey of Michigan, Mike Casey, Jr. of Colorado, Kevin (Dawn) Casey and Tim (Cathy) Casey of Battle Creek MI; sister-in-law (with special thanks for being there) Mary (David) Fountain of Marshall, MI; many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her very good friends in California Johnna and Eddie Bundy, Lindy Shrabel, and in Oregon, Brenda Foster-Berg. Per Glenda's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
