Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 1997, at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Rev. Samuel D. Jadin O.Praem. will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial at Holy Family Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Lucy Gauthier was born September 1, 1910, in Marshfield, daughter of the late Carl and Mary Taugher Gauthier. She entered the Convent in 1928 and professed her vows in 1931. Sister Bridgetine earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Norbert College, DePere. Sister Bridgetine served as a teacher at Corpus Christi, Sturgeon Bay, St. Mary, Hilbert, St. Joseph, Oneida, Holy Redeemer, Two Rivers, St. Mary, Bloomington, Holy Rosary, Kewaunee, St. Joseph, Kellnersville, St. Joseph, Green Bay, St. Joseph, Rice Lake, St. Mary, Brillion, St. John Indian School, Komatke, Immacuate Conception, Yuma, Ariz.; San Roque, Santa Barbara, Calif.; St. Theresa, Kekaha, Hawaii; Holy Family, Lindsay, Nebraska; St. Anne, Escanaba, Catholic Central, Menominee and St. Francis Xavier, Petosky, Mich. After retiring from full-time teaching, she served as a secretary at the Western Regional House, Walnut, Calif., Sacred Heart, Manitowoc, St. Aloysius, Kaukauna and St. Mary, Reedsville. In 1988, she retired to the Motherhouse where she performed various tasks for the Sisters.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
