Effie Brandenburg Eden, 93, of Buckwood Drive, widow of Forester Eden, passed away Thursday January 3, 2008 at her home.
She was a native of Estill County, a retired teacher with the Madison County School System and a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by one son Ron (Sharon Chambers) Eden one sister Reva Smith, one granddaughter Sherri Eden and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her husband Forester, she was preceded in death by her parents Matt and Martha Gabbard Brandenburg, five brothers Edward Brandenburg, Fred Brandenburg, Ezra Brandenburg, Elbert Brandenburg, Carl Brandenburg and one sister Ethel Wood.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday January 7, 2008 at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Thom Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Brandenburg, Ezra Wilson Brandenburg, Gene Woods, Chandler Combs, Bobby Combs and Jimmy Barnes. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
