Republican, September 5, 1888. Mr. and Mrs. John Combs settled in the "Forks of the Creek" years ago and had ten children. Six lived to be grown. None were ever married and the last one, Priscilla Coombs, died last Tuesday, thus ending a family who were well and favorably known for many years. It is the first instance brought to our notice where a father and mother reared a family and there was no increase and the death of the last child completely extinguishes the family.
