Mrs. Mary F. Burney, age 83, went to join her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 20, 2007. She was born December 19, 1923 and raised in Mineola, Texas and moved to Oakdale, TN in 1993, where she resided for the past 14 years. She was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Cecil B. Burney of Athens, TX; daughters, Sandra Swicegood of Harriman, TN; Betty Lou Usrey of TX; one son of TX; father, Author Daniel Richardson; mother, Tenner Richardson of Mineola, TX; sister, Martha Stout; brothers, Author Daniel Richardson Jr. & Robert Lee Richardson; grandson, Scottie Burney; nephews, Eddie & Gynne, David Richardson.

Clara Massey & husband, Ronald of Athens, TX

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Randy Maxwell officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood.
