He was raised in Romney, WV moving to Orlando in 1955. Lloyd was a WWII, U.S. Army Air Corps veteran with the 424th Aviation Squadron and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross on four different occasions. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Dorothy (Flo) F Farless McKee (met while stationed in Savannah, GA); children, Kathleen Hancock of Oviedo, FL and Steven Lee (Sandra Karnes) McKee of Daytona Beach, FL; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Lloyd and Flo both retired from Martin Marietta. Services will be held at Carey Hand Funeral Home in Orlando on October 12, 2012. Published in the Orlando Sentinel on October 10, 2012
