YOUTHFUL LIFE ENDED - HOLZBACH
At Silver Lake Convent Tuesday evening, another young life was cut
off in all its promise of usefulness, when Miss Anna Holzbach
responded to the final call and closed her eyes in the last long
slumber. Miss Holzbach was first taken ill last December and although
at that time her illness was thought to be little more than a severe
cold, it developed into consumption and she grew weaker and weaker
until finally she was obliged to take to her bed. She was cared for
at the hospital until a few days ago, when realizing that her days on
earth were few, she requested that she might be taken to the convent
and there await the coming of the messenger. Her request was granted
and there it was that she passed peacefully to her rest.
Deceased was 22 years of age and a bright young lady, who possessed
many friends. The family formerly resided here, but removed to Algoma
some years ago. The funeral will be held Thursday.
