He married Martha (Mattie) Jane Brammer 9 Feb 1879 in her home of Salt Creek Township, Chariton, Missouri. The Family moved to Falls, Chase, Kansas where they farmed and had seven children.
Benjamin left Kansas circa 1904, and in 1910 he was living in Cogswell Creek, Lake, Oregon working as a stage coach and stable manager. By 1926 he moved south to Shasta California where he lived until his death in 1940.
