Ronnie Fred Wilborn, 63, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at his home in Arlington. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: 2 p.m. Friday in Blake Cemetery, near Rising Star in Brown County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to Sarcoma Research Charities. Ronnie was born Aug. 15, 1949, in Fort Worth, the only child of Oris and Myrtle Wilborn, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1967 and attended Tarrant County Junior College, where he studied architecture. Later, Ronnie enjoyed a long career in the alcohol distribution and food services industries. Ever the handyman and mechanic, he enjoyed helping his loved ones above all else. Ronnie's charm and wit came very easily, and he could discuss music and current events with anyone he met. Survivors: He will forever be dearly missed by his wife of 17 years, Kathy Wilborn; his only son, Blake Wilborn, age 29; stepchildren, Mary, Jim and Kelly; and 11 stepgrandchildren.
