Breu, Michael (Oct. 9, 1858-May 4, 1928 –husband of Frances Zipperer [married May 13, 1889 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw, Town of Cato] –son of Joseph Breu and Theresia Schreiner –born Town of Manitowoc Rapids –on Nov. 23, 1886 purchased his father’s 200 acre farm at 21304 Schnell Road in Section 33, Town of Eaton –on Dec. 16, 1902, Michael sold this farm to Joseph Schnell –on Dec. 30, 1889 purchased from his parents the 160 acres of woodland in the SW1/4 of Section 27, Town of Eaton –owned these woods until his death in 1928 –on May 29, 1946 his widow Frances sold this woodland to her son-in-law William Gutman and his wife Anna Breu –on April 1, 1901 purchased the Gregor House Saloon at 119 South Second Avenue in St. Nazianz from Louis Schneider –ran this establishment until selling on Nov. 7, 1903 –lived in St. Nazianz until 1922, when he moved to City of Sheboygan –in the 1905 census for the Town of Liberty, Michael and Frances are shown living in a house in St. Nazianz with their children Ida [age 15], Anne [age 12], Laura [age 10], Theodore [age 5], and Cinderella [age 4] –factory worker at Northern Furniture Company in Sheboygan –died in Sheboygan County –died from “stroke –cerebral hemorrhage –arteriosclerosis”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 3, Row 5, Lot 4 –stone] [marriage record Manitowoc 5-450] [death record Sheboygan 30-489]

Funeral services for Michael Breu, who died at his home in Sheboygan last Friday of an attack of paralysis, were held here Monday morning, solemn requiem mass being read by three priests of St. Gregory's church.
Interment was in the nearby church cemetery. The deceased was born in the town of Manitowoc Rapids Oct. 19, 1858, but his home had been St. Nazianz until six years ago, when he moved to Sheboygan to be employed
at the Northern Furniture Co. He was married in 1888 to Miss Francis Zipperer, who survives him. Besides his wife, he is mourned by the following: Brothers - George of Auburndale, and Joseph of Marshfield; sisters - Theresa (Mrs. Math. Kautzer) Madison; sons - Theodore of
Kohler, and Winrich of Sheboygan; daughters - Ida (Mrs. W.W. Birkle), Sheboygan, Anna (Mrs. W. Gutman) Sumatra, Mont., Laura (Mrs. Patrick Brennan) North Fond du Lac, and Cinderalla (Mrs. Olive Brennan) Valders. Two sisters, Francis, (Mrs. Hegg) Cross Plains, and Anna (Mrs. Markee) Marshfield, preceded him in death.
