DAVIS, Charles R. 80, of Tampa, passed away on Oct. 8, 2012. He was born on Oct. 9, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, IL, to Claude & Avva (Lowry) Davis. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gladys Moeh-lenkamp Davis; his son, Steve (Angela); his daughters, Pam Snead & Debbie (Greg) Sibley; great-nephew, Eddie Rivera; grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Kristen, Karlee & Kelsey Sibley; his sister, Peggy Teague; brothers, Robert M. Davis and Larry Rockett; uncle, Ralph (Bill) Rockett; and numerous nieces & nephews. Charlie was a member of the Community of Christ, served as a former Pastor and was an Elder. He was a member of the Plum-bers & Pipefitters Local Union 123. He served in the Army during the Korean War, and was a prisoner of war for 33 months. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and family. He was a loving husband, father & grandfather. He enjoyed time with his family and will be missed greatly. Visitation 10-11 am, followed by a service at 11 am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Parkinson Foundation.
