Sister M. Rosalie, 51, of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, died Monday at
St. Joseph Hospital, Tucson, Ariz.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Rev. Ferdinand Dupont, O. Pream., will officiate and burial will be in
the convent cemetery.
Sister M. Rosalie, nee Mary Hunt, was born April 7, 1919, at Sawyer, Wis.,
daughter of the late David and Sarah Donlan Hunt. She was graduated from
Sturgeon Bay High School and entered the Order of Franciscan Sisters of
Christian Charity in 1937. She received a BA degree from St. Norbert College
and did graduate work at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.,
Michigan State University and the Universities of Oklahoma and Arizona. She
taught schools at Waukesha, Antigo, Green Bay, Brillion and Oconto Falls.
Survivors include two brothers, Donland of Sturgeon Bay, and Quentin of
Hammond, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Delbert Schmetzer of Forrestville, Mrs.
Robert DeMille of Sturgeon Bay and Mrs. Louis Peterson of Grafton.
Friends may call at the convent this Wednesday evening and Thursday
afternoon.
Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
