Elmer Hostetter was the son of Daniel R. Hostutler and Nancy Ann Wooley Hostutler, who were married of March 5, 1857 in Ripley County, Indiana.

He was the grandson of Nicholas Hostutler and Margaret Hostutler (#120701610)of Ripley County, Indiana.

Elmer Hostetter, 89-year-old retired farmer, died Monday at 12:10 p.m. in Rudisill Nursing Home. He was born May 22, 1869 in Kansas and was married Nov. 6, 1939 to Cora Enoch. Mr. Hostetter was a member of Union Chapel Church. Survivors include the widow; a brother and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Noble Reeves Funeral Home with interment in Masonic Cemetery in Crawfordsville. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home.

Last rites for Elmer Hostetter, who died Monday, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home here. Rev. Henry H. Karg of Crawfordsville officiated. Organ music was played by Mrs. Dorris Clifton. Pallbearers were William Shular, Elmer Long, Willis Johnson, Carl Schlemmer, David Johnson, and Harry Shular. Burial was in Crawfordsville Masonic Cemetery.
