Marianne Gertraud Jones was born in München, Germany to Max Dirnberger and Barbara Karbacher.
Married Douglas H. Carter in 1960; later divorced. Married the love of her life, Darrel Abel, in 1984; he preceded her in death. Married Patrick Weldon Jones in 2004; he preceded her in death. Taught herself English and made many sacrifices to leave Europe behind and come to the states to raise and take care of her family. Marianne loved to fish, camp, cook and anything outdoors. She was a great mother.
Survived by children: Alvin (Audrey) Carter, Barbara (Scott) Carter-Brandom, Mike (LuDene) Carter, Dan (Letha) Carter, Sabrina (Ron) Martinez, Doug (Kathryn) Carter, Steve (Christi) Carter; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by parents; and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 2012, 12:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held, 11 a.m. -12:00 noon with a Rosary to follow at 12 noon. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
