Franklin -- Mrs. Laura A. Wesco, widow of George Wesco 1510 Buffalo Street, died at her residence at 10:30 a.m. Thursday after an illness of five years.
She was born in Elk County, Oct. 27, 1883, the daughter of the late William A. and Jennie Hart DeLong. Mrs. Wesco was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Truth Seekers Class of the church.
She was united in marriage with Mr. Wesco, Nov. 11, 1908, and he died July 4, 1952.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Freda) Scannell, of Franklin; a grandson George Herbert Scannell, Franklin RD 3, and a great-grandson, Steven Douglas Scannell. Also surviving are, a brother, Earl E. DeLong, Kennerdell; three sisters, Mrs. Verne (Clara) Snyder, Cooperstown; Mrs. David (Ruth) Scannell and Mrs. Millard (Della) Shaffer, Franklin. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends will be received at the Buchanan-Schmidt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Arthur Moffat, minister of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Franklin Cemetery.
