Cronin, Mary nee O’Connell (1801-April 7, 1870 –wife of John Cronin –John Cronin died in 1847 in Ireland –in 1848 Mary and her 10 children immigrated to Canada –in July of 1850 the family moved to the City of Milwaukee –on Jan. 15, 1853 purchased the 320 acres of the N1/2 of Section 26, Town of Eaton –on Aug. 19, 1853, Mary sold 160 acres of these 320 acres to her son John Cronin –on Dec. 16, 1857, John Cronin sold 120 acres of these 160 back to his mother Mary –on Jan. 13, 1864, Mary sold these 120 acre to Bishop Henni of Milwaukee –on Aug. 28, 1854 Mary sold the 80 acres of the E1/2 of the NE1/4 of Section 26, Town of Eaton to her son David Cronin –on Sept. 2, 1857 sold the 80 acres of the W1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 26 to her son Dennis Cronin –on Jan. 13, 1858 purchased the 160 acres of the NW1/4 of Section 35, Town of Eaton from the US Government –on June 24, 1861 sold the 80 acres of the W1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 35 to her son Jeremiah Cronin –in 1864 Mary sold the E1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 35 to John Baptist Happle –on the 1860 census for the Town of Eaton, Mary is shown as living with her son John Cronin –died in Iowa) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Old Section 1, Row 8, Lot 3] [death record Manitowoc 1-90]
