Derler, Conrad (Konrad) (Jan. 28, 1861-June 8, 1884 –husband of Magdalena Junk [married April 3, 1883 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –son of John Adam Derler and Katharine Christmann –born Town of Eaton –carpenter –from Dec. 28, 1882 until his death on June 8, 1884, owed the 40 acre farm at 8322 Greendale Road in Section 26, Town of Eaton –after his death, his widow Magdalena lost this farm to Conrad’s father John Adam Derler –“killed by lightening” –“on his way home from church, was struck and killed by lightening” –from church records –“On Sunday last a man named Conrad Derler was killed by lightening while on his way from School Hill in Meeme to St. Nazianz. He was driving in an open wagon in company with five other persons, two of whom occupied the same seat he did.
