Doud, Patrick (1814-Nov. 27, 1882 –single –son of Daniel Doud and Johanna –born Ireland –farmer in Town of Eaton –on June 30, 1855 purchased from the US Government the 40 acres of the SE1/4 of the NE1/4 and the 40 acres of the SE1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 9, Town of Eaton –a farmstead was then created in the northeast corner of the SE1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 9 –in the 1860 census for the Town of Eaton, Patrick is shown living on this farm with whom were likely his siblings Bridget [age 30] and David [age 14] –in the 1880 census for the Town of Eaton, Patrick is shown as a single man living alone on this farm –this farmstead shows on the 1872 plat map but is gone by the 1878 plat –on Nov. 3, 1858 sold the 40 acres of the SE1/4 of the NW1/4 while purchasing 10 acres in the SW1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 9 –on April 8, 1874 sold the 40 acres of the SE1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 9 (plus 10 acres to the west) to Timothy Noonan –from June 8, 1861 to March 7, 1862 owned the 40 acres of the SE1/4 of the SW1/4 of Section 34, Town of Eaton) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 2, Row 3, Lot 34 –stone] [death record Manitowoc 3-310]
