Dunbar, Michael (1832-Dec. 18, 1914 –husband of Margaret Crowe [1835-1893] –born Ireland –arrived in US via Lockport, New York in Oct. of 1850 –applied for naturalization on Oct. 22, 1853 –on Oct. 29, 1853 purchased from the US Government the 160 acres of the NW1/4 of Section 28, Town of Liberty and created a farmstead centered at 15712 County C in Section 28, Town of Eaton –on Dec. 19, 1865, Michael purchased the 20 acres of the E1/2 of the NE1/4 of the NE1/4 and the 40 acres of the SE1/4 of Section 29, Town of Liberty –this land then became part of his farm centered at 15712 County –on March 13, 1901, Michael sold this 119.5 acre farm centered at 15712 County C to the widow Helen Casper –after this sale, Michael moved to Laverne, Minnesota –died Springwater, Minnesota –died from “old age”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 1, Row 11, Lot 3 –stone] [death record in Minnesota]
