THERESA EBERLE
Theresa M. Eberle, 82, of St. Nazianz, former cashier and later president of the St. Nazianz State Bank, died on Monday at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. The Rev. Cletus LaMere will officiate and burial will be in the
church cemetery.
Mrs. Eberle, nee Theresa M. Sproll, was born Jan. 23, 1901, in the Town of Liberty, daughter of the late John and Julia Zeiser Sproll. She attended St. Gregory's School, and was employed at the St. Nazianz State Bank for
45 years. She retired in 1970, receiving a 45 year Dedicated Service Award.
She served the bank as a cashier and from 1933 to 1970 held the office of president.
She married Nic Filz Feb. 23, 1930, in St. Nazianz and he died Dec. 22, 1941. She later married Ambrose Eberle, Jan. 22, 1951, and he preceded her in death May 11, 1957.
Mrs. Eberle was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Gregory's Christian Mother's Society.
Survivors include a stepson, a sister-in-law and five step-grandchildren. (Survivors edited for privacy)
