Eberle, Ambrose L. (Oct. 18, 1892-May 11, 1957 –husband of Ella Miller [married Sept. 25, 1916 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –after the death of Ella on Aug. 1, 1949, Ambrose re-married to the widow Theresa Sproll Filz [married Jan. 22, 1951 at St. Gregory] –son of Frank X. Eberle and Caroline Sonner –born Town of Eaton –assistant cashier at bank –in July 1956 was elected the first Village President of the newly incorporated St. Nazianz and served in that position until his death in 1957 –on April 26, 1916 purchased 29 acres of farmland and created a farmstead at 18008 West Road in Section 25, Town of Eaton –owned this now 59 acre farm until selling on Feb. 21, 1950 to John and Mary Stauber –from Oct. 25, 1921 to March 17, 1948 owned the St. Nazianz Silver Fox Company located at 17930 Church Street in Section 25, Town of Eaton –sold this fox farm to Isidore Endries –on Feb. 3, 1948 purchased a vacant lot along Church Street in St. Nazianz, which he then subdivided into three lots –Ambrose had a house built on one of these lots, the one at 205 Church Street and, in the spring of 1949, moved into this new house with his wife Ella –Ella soon died on Aug. 1, 1949 –Ambrose then re-married to the widow Theresa Filz on Jan. 22, 1951 –Ambrose lived in this house until his death in 1957 –his widow Theresa continued to live here until selling on Sept. 30, 1980 –from June 6, 1917 until his death in 1957 owned 60 acres in the S1/2 of the SE1/4 of Section 30, Town of Liberty –from Nov. 25, 1931 to July 15, 1939 owned his parents' former home at 113 South Second Avenue in St. Nazianz –during this time period, Ambrose used this house as a rental unit –died from "cerebral hemorrhage, left –hypertension" "He was stricken while working his garden at the rear of his home in the village.") –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 4, Row 2, Lot 30] [first marriage record Manitowoc 12-484] [second marriage record Manitowoc 41-463] [death record Manitowoc 50-609]
