Mrs. Joseph Gerhard Dies At Hospital
Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Gerhard, 80, Route 1, Kiel, who died Wednesday at Calumet Memorial hospital, Chilton, of a lingering illness, were held Saturday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory Putzer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The former Flora Dhein, she was born in the Town of Charlestown (Calumet
county), August 10, 1885, a daughter of the late William and Kathryn Heisdorf Dhein.
She attended her home district school, St. Gregory's Catholic school in St. Nazianz and Sheboygan Business College.
Her marriage to Mr. Gerhard took place May 20, 1913, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton.
Following marriage the couple operated the Gerhard home farm about two miles west of St. Nazianz.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Gregory's parish.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Francis, on the home farm; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Lamboley, Milwaukee, and a sister, Mrs. Clara sprinkle, Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
