LORINA GROH, 85, formerly of St. Nazianz, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 14, 1990, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral Mass will be 11:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Father Cletus LaMere will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

She was born November 7, 1904, at Steinthal, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Albert and Minnie Kaltenbrun Christel. She attended St. Gregory School and was employed for many years as a Nurses Aide at Shady Lane and Park Lawn Homes. She married Edward J. Groh September 23, 1924, at St. Nazianz and resided at St. Nazianz most of their life. She was instrumental in the naming of Manitowoc Park Lawn Home and was a member of St. Nazianz Senior Citizens, the Gardening Club of Osman, the Grandma’s Club of Osman, the Lady Foresters and St. Gregory Christian Mothers.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Jerome and Mary of St. Nazianz, Robert and Carol of Two Rivers, Paul and Marie of Osman, Edward (Honey) and Betty of New Holstein; a daughter, Julie Russell of Manitowoc; a brother, William L. Christel of Manitowoc; 22 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandchild, Pat Groh and a sister, Hildegarde Henschl.

Friends may call at St. Gregory Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Christianson-Deja Funeral Home is serving the family.
