"In the death of Mrs. Jane M. Multer, which occurred at the home of her son, R. W. Vickers, at Worcester, Wednesday evening of last week, from the infirmities of old age, that village loses one of its oldest and most respected residents. Mrs. Multer was born at Middlefield Center, June 8, 1838, a daughter of Homer and Betsey (Blair) Hubbell. She was twice married, her first husband being Thomas Vickers. In November, 1903, she was united in marriage with Joseph Multer of South Worcester. Mrs. Multer is the last of a family of six children. When a very young girl she united with the Presbyterian church at Middlefield. She was an active member of the Methodist church of Worcester so long as health permitted. She is survived by one son, R. W Vickers, Worcester, one step-daughter, Mrs. Laura Barnes, and three grandchildren, Misses Vernette and Charlotte Vickers, and Mrs. C. B. Lehman.
