Funeral Rites For Mr. Hartman At St. Nazianz
St. Nazianz--The funeral of Peter Hartman, 75, son of the Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hartman who lived near Kiel, and who died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, after a lengthy illness at his home here, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Gregory's church. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Hartman is survived by an adopted daughter, Marie Hartman and three brothers, Anton of Oshkosh, William of Sheboygan, and Herman who lives near Kiel, and one sister, Mrs. Susannah Anhalt of Kiel.
The deceased was a member of Holy Name society and an active member of St. Gregory's church.
Members of Holy Name society will pray the rosary this evening and will attend the funeral services in a body.

Hartman, Peter (Nov. 1, 1865-Aug. 24, 1930 –husband of Florentine Hammela [married July 10, 1888 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –son of Joseph Hartman and Magdelena Scherschel –born Sheboygan County –farmer and laborer –on April 18, 1888 purchased his parents’ farm located in Sections 4 and 10 in the Town of Schleswig plus 34 acres of swampland in the NW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 30, Town of Eaton –on Jan. 10, 1900 sold the northern 20 acres of the 34 acres of swampland in Section 30, Town of Eaton –on Dec. 31, 1907 sold the 60 acre farm in Sections 4 and 10 in the Town of Schleswig plus the southern 14 acres of swampland in the NW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 30, Town of Eaton to August Feldt –on Oct. 8, 1907 purchased a vacant lot at 205 West Court in St. Nazianz and had a house built –Florentine lived in this house until her death in 1929 –Peter lived here until his death in 1930 –died from “debility –arteriosclerosis –lumbago”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 3, Row 7, Lot 9 –stone] [marriage record Manitowoc 5-414] [death record Manitowoc 25-724]
