BERTHA LOUISE HEINZEN, age 89, formerly of St. Nazianz, died Sunday February 9, 1997, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 1997, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Rev. Gerald Serois will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
She was born December 21, 1907, in the town of Eaton, daughter of the late Anton and Christina Kaltenbrun Schwoerer. She attended St. Gregory's School, and for many years was a cook for St. Gregory's Hot Lunch Program. She married Albin Heinzen on October 23, 1928, at St. Gregory's Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, three daughters and one son-in-law, 17 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one step-great granddaughter; one great-great grandson;
one sister, Mary Steffen, School Hill; two daughters-in-law, three sisters-in-law, Barbara Schwoerer, New Holstein, Angeline Schwoerer,
Valders, Olive Schwoerer, St.Nazianz. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 29, 1993; two sons, Roman and Victor; one daughter-in-law, Roseann Heinzen; one son-in-law, Barney Mullins;
three brothers; four sisters; one grandson.
Friends may call at St. Gregory's Church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
The Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Death is a golden key that opens the palace of eternity.
