Hoban, Martin John (June 20, 1871-July 13, 1953 –husband of Margaret Conway [married Oct. 25, 1904 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Osman, Town of Meeme] –son of Patrick Hoban and Hanna Gallagher [Patrick and Hanna are buried at St. Isidore Cemetery in Osman, Town of Meeme –Patrick 1842-1916 –Hanna 1848-1884] –born Town of Meeme –Martin and Margaret farmed near Osman, Town of Meeme until retiring in 1943 and moving to St. Nazianz –on Feb. 2, 1949 purchased the house at 305 South Fourth Avenue in St. Nazianz with Martin living here until his death in 1953 –his widow Margaret lived here until selling in 1955 –died from “cerebral thrombosis”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 4, Row 4, Lot 11] [marriage record Manitowoc 7-351] [death record Manitowoc 46-499]

MARTIN HOBAN

Martin J. Hoban, 82, of St. Nazianz, a retired farmer, died at his home in the village Monday following a week's illness.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The Rev. Frederick Dorn will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Hoban was born in Meeme in 1871 and 45 years ago married Miss Margaret Conway. They located on a farm near Osman.

Survivors are a son, John of Rt. 1, Newton; daughter, Mrs. B.J. Heller of St. Nazianz, and four grandchildren. Also surviving is a nephew, Jack Conway of Sheboygan, who lived with the Hobans for many years.
Hoban move to St. Nazianz 11 years ago.

Friends may call at the Kellenbenz Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, after 7 p.m. Tuesday, where the rosary will be recited by the Holy Name Society at 8 p.m.
