Mrs. Hattie M. Newcomb, 75, widow of the late Fred A. Newcomb, died at her residence, 779 Congress Street, Sunday, after a long illness.
She was born at Easton, Oct. 7 1871, daughter of Elijah and Abigail Sprague, attended local schools, and was married in 1896. Her husband died in 1946. They had moved here in 1940 from Fairfield. She leaves a son, Fred L., Portland, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at 749 Congress Street. Interment will be in Brooklawn Memorial Park.
